I’m not a fan of winter weather, especially when the calendar says it’s spring. A recent, much needed road trip to northwest Iowa turned out to be a beautiful adventure into a winter wonderland.
As I left Omaha, my Nikon strapped in the passenger seat, the rain slowly turned to turned to a few flakes. As I headed the wind began to pick up and the heavier snow began to fall.
Keeping an eye on the road, I found myself watching the brown pasture grasses turn white. So clean, so beautiful, and so simple.
Rolling hills blocked the wind and I pulled into a drive to photograph a grove of trees on the left, and then looked to the right. I captured a few images including this one and headed up the road.
I may not be a fan of winter weather, but I will always be a fan of a beautiful snow covered landscape.
