Every road trip has at least one memorable moment. A recent trip to Northwest Iowa found me on the country roads with a farmer that was showing me around their family operation.
The grass was green, lush, and wet from a rain shower earlier that morning. Kneeling in the wet grass to capture the perfect image of one of their barns. Shooting away I was enjoying the serenade from the dairy calves in the nearby pasture.
Still on my knees I turned around and captured this image. This country quartet was part of the larger chorus that was providing the mood music I needed to relax and shoot photos.
They didn’t take requests, but did pose quite nicely when I chatted with them from a few feet back. A simple “Hey Cows” caught their attention and in a couple minutes the country quartet was tuning up again.
