Roadside Frost

One cold and frosty morning, I could not help but remember Sunday mornings, years ago, when I led the weekly opening prior to Sunday school. One of our favorite songs was, “Here we go off to—(what ever destination popped into their head that day) on a cold and frosty morning.” I found myself filling in that blank as I drove back to Washington, DC from the Midwest. It doesn’t matter if I’m on an interstate or walking down a busy sidewalk in the city, winter’s beauty is always amazing. Cold and frosty mornings can really wake you up, open your eyes, and remind you to see the beauty in your surroundings where ever they may be.
